ABOUT OUR PROPRIETOR
Proprietor of HOLMES LEGAL RESEARCH, Barbara G. Holmes, J.D., M.A., is a licensed attorney who likes to work behind the scenes, helping litigators to litigate and counselors to counsel.
She received her law degree and a Master's Degree in International Affairs at American University in Washington, D.C. After practicing and working as Senior Research Counsel at the Association of Trial Lawyers of America in Washington, D.C. , she found her niche in legal research and writing. Eighteen years later, she is an expert in the science of legal research and the art of written advocacy.
Ms. Holmes is proficient at advising lawyers about the best approach to unfamiliar areas of the law, and she is particularly skilled at ghostwriting legal research results in appellate briefs.
Ms. Holmes has written hundreds of briefs, covering almost every legal topic—from employment to personal injury and products liability to contract law.
